I've had my Taco since June '24 and I average around 13.5. Its a truck, I don't expect high gas mileage! My driving is mostly around town, so that doesn't help! I did get up to 13.9 not too long ago when I made a highway trip a few hours north.

Is there a technical write-up on what ECO actually does? The manual is super vague.

I got worse mileage on ECO, but it is likely I was pushing it too hard. I have 10 Ply 33's and a lift and I can manage to get 19-20 on the highway in Normal on a long trip. Best I got was 22. Part off that is my fault. In town, 15-17 is common. I built this truck for a purpose, and economy wasn't on the list. If you're bone stock, you should get close to estimated mileage. Also keep in mind, that they get those ratings on pure gas (no ethanol) on a flat road, not exceeding probably 55mph on the highway. It's not that you can't get that mileage, you just have to work on it. Turbo spooling is the biggest part. Turn on your boost guage and see what you're doing, I'll bet you're spooling it up more than you think. This isn't a light sports car.

My truck fuel economy improved greatly after the break in period and again after first oil change.
Currently getting 18mpg city with my winter tires on and lots of warm up time on those-20c or worse days.
