Hey all, so there are a few of these "timelines" here but I thought I would add my own for further data if there are those that are trying to figure out their own delivery.
It all started on a cold, blustery day... OK, not really, sorry, it is Friday.
  • I gave the dealer my request and specks and put down my deposit all on April 27th
  • Other then several calls about trucks he had coming that were no where close to what I am wanting, nothing until I got an email stating "The Wait is Over" on Sept. 6th
    • Just for the record, still waiting...
  • September 7th I got the allocation sheet with a temporary VIN. Build date was Oct. 8th
  • Yesterday, Oct 10 the temporary VIN changed to the final 'real' VIN. (I'm a real boy Geppetto)
    • I posted a question about how long this would take. It went much faster then I expected. Not complaining, though @entropy also said he tracked his from "Guanajuato through rail" and some of us are still waiting to hear how you did that. :)
  • Estimated availability 10/25/24 - 11/11/24
That is where things stand right now. I will update things as I learn more, or go to get my truck!

You can find someone on this forum that can potentially help with that if you dm them, not going to mention it because I don't want to bring too much attention to it. That being said, your dealer can absolutely send you an exact screenshot of exactly where the truck is at and every step of the way, eventually that's what I did. I bugged my salesperson every week for an update, its the least they can do for you. So don't feel bad for asking :)

Congrats! On 9/21, mine was at the port, and I was told a delivery date range of 10/14 - 17, but I got a call on Mon 9/30 that the truck would arrive that week, and it was finally ready for me on Thu 10/3. Fingers crossed for you that yours comes early too!

Bugging sales people is my specialty.

Hopefully October end up being a big delivery month and we can all go into the holidays in style.

My sales guy texts me once a week with an update on my truck... Last update was it was at the port, waiting to be loaded on the ship. Mine has to trace through the Panama to get to the West Coast.

Can I ask what config you got on your OR?

Did he tell you which port? From the Guanajuato factory, West coast deliveries seem to all go through the port of Lazaro Cardenas, while East deliveries go through Vera Cruz. No need for the Panama Canal either way. Then it'll arrive to either Long Beach or Benicia.

Got an update on things yesterday. According to the dealer the truck will arrive on 11/13. Two days off from the original date of 11/11. I had to look up Sanchez TM since the screen shot says "Last Sighting" there. It is a transfer station just outside of Laredo Mexico, across the Rio Grand from Laredo TX. Hopefully the truck is actually in the states now. I do have to say, last sighting sounds a little like seeing Sasquatch! Not an entirely off parallel to these trucks, or so it seems at times.
Anyways, that is the latest, nothing more as of today.

I have the TRD Off Road iForce Max with the upgrade package (not the premium one), mud flaps, spray-in bed liner. That was all I wanted, they did add the 14" screen though. I was not interested in that but I have not seen many OR with anything extra added that didn't have the 14". I have seen a number of posts where everyone is saying how much they like the screen size so I can live with it, I am sure.

I was just guessing on the port based on the proximity of Toyota’s factory. But yer are 100% correct - it makes sense more sense to truck them to the west coast port! The Port of Portland gets a lot of container ship carrying vehicles, I’ve seen Toyota when are out fishing.

Sadly so true! What's crazy to me is the 9 day estimate they have for the "Rail Arrive" step! That's a pretty big window. Hope it ends up being on the early side.

Me too, though if it is and I don't get to pick it up until after 11/7, the interest rates might be a smidge lower. I think I heard the Fed was meeting on the 6th and 7th to decide if they are going to lower rates.

That thought crossed my mind too. I think my truck arrives in port today and will take a few more days to get here. With any luck, Toyota will roll out some good incentives for the new month!
