It's not two separate touches, like other Toyotas- it's a long hold- it's supposed to be three, feels more like 6.
So, leave the car setting on driver's door only, then just long hold the driver's handle rather than short hold?

Coming from a vehicle that was build before this complexity existed (but used to the one-tap-two-tap method of other manufacturers)

I have mine so that the passenger door also works, and opens all the doors on the first touch. Then to open all the doors from the drivers side, just hold 3-6 seconds. The delay is longer than expected.

Thanks for helping me figure it out! I got it working as desired.

For the reference record: In the infotainment settings you set door smart access to driver only. Then when outside the vehicle, one 2-3 second hold will lock everything. If locked, a 2-3 second hold from the driver's handle will unlock drivers door only. But continue to hold without interruption for an additional 2-3 seconds beyond the first unlock will trigger the full vehicle unlock. If you break away at all or relese the grip, it resets the sequence.

Oh, and in case anyone else was wondering "two press unlock" being turned on translates to first fob unlock only doing drivers door and a second press doing all doors, rather than first press doing all doors.

Anybody know what the DRL change does?
Daytime Running Lights
Enable/Disable them (if you have your lights set to "auto" they are on by default. This being off disables them)

Personally I hate DRLs... In my observation all they have done is create more people driving around in bad conditions or at night with their lights off bc the drl give then just enough light they didn't realize they are driving around illegally

Something Iā€™ve wondered, if I ever meet up with someone with a Carista could they just plug in to my truck and turn off the seat belt chimes for me one time and I could be on my way? Or is the app locked to a single VIN?

I'm not sure when this happened, or why, but I just noticed that my phone has been updated to Carista Version 8.9 beta-6.

Just opened my app to look at it, since I havenā€™t used it after I bought it and made settings changes during the time that came included with it. After it finished loading I got a screen showing a pretty decent sale going on now for 50% off the 1 year plan. I donā€™t think I have enough use for it at the full price per year but with the current sale price of 29.99 it is tempting to get me to subscribe. Especially since itā€™s 14.99 just for one month. I want to go in and see if the settings I changed are intact, and also look at the new ones theyā€™ve added.

No, it can be used with multiple vehicles.
Nope, no VIN restriction. Used it in 4 different vehicles so far. If it's unsupported, it'll just work as an OBD reader and you can still download and reset error codes. If it's supported and the account has an active subscription, you get the customization menu

I did end up buying the annual subscription during their sale. If anyone is nearby (Middlesex County Connecticut) and wants to modify their settings just let me know.
