6' Foot Bed Toyota OEM Tonneau Cover Installed (Part Number # PT954-35241) on 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport

I installed the Toyota OEM 6' Tonneau Cover today, part # PT954-35241. Looks great, appears to be the same as the Bakflip MX4. Took just over an hour to install, seems lighter than the MX4 cover for the 3rd Gen.

That’s the same one I ended up going with. Dealer is installing it when my truck shows up in a few weeks. I looked at getting an MX4 or and extand solid fold but couldn’t get either until July so bit the bullet on the OEM cover.

From all of the research I did it sounded like it was a rebadged MX4. Seems like you are confirming that.

My dealer initially said they didn't have any and didn't know when they'd be available. I instead called back and asked if I could order a part #, and they said they had them in stock. I think the dealers aren't very informed that the part # in question actually is the tonneau cover for the 24' Tacoma.

My Dealer said the 5ft Toyota cover is hard to come by.

My local dealer had the 5' in a day or two. Also in the LA area, so we have huge Toyota distribution warehouses close by. Dealer I ordered from discounted it 15%.

For Trailhunter owners like me, first glance, knowing the oem rails would drop down, I was worried it'd block the access door to the air compressor controls. They do not! Whew!!

No rain in Socal!! A little at the back corners at the tailgate when I washed it, but I gather that's very normal.
