Looks like we have the same issue that Tundras are having with the gas gauge sticking on full after parking on a hill.

The reset procedure typically has involved pressing the odo button with acc etc. but we don’t have a button.

If anyone encounters the issue the solution is to run the truck, cut the ignition off while the truck is in Drive and wait 4 seconds, the shift to P for 4 seconds and the tank meter will reset itself.

Good luck out there fellow Guinea pigs

Noted, I hate the gas gauge in these trucks period. It'll sit at full forever and then as soon as it starts to dip from full it's like it drains, almost as if the tank counts 3/4 as full and once you go under 3/4 it's game on, considering I can fit about $30 in my tank with it already reading at full.

My Camry used to be the same way but not near this bad.

My Fj is the opposite. It drains drastically but when the gas light comes on, the truck has almost 1/4 tank left. I was really hoping this would be handled with these new trucks.

Crazy that with all the factory settings on the truck can almost drive itself yet we can’t get a gas tank that reads correctly 🫠

That’s technology we have had worked out for nearly a century

My driveway is slightly inclined and I have had this happen.

Page 90 of the owner's manual has the procedure to reset.

I ddon't have the problem with the full gauge suddenly dropping. My problem is I was really needing gas the other day and I was very low. It showed I had 5 miles to go. I have about 2K miles on the truck so I figured it was pretty close to accurate.
I threw 3 gallons in at an expensive no-name gas station knowing that would easily get me to where I was going where the cheaper and top-tier gas (Almost always only use Top-Tier) was available. I only had about 20 miles to drive.
The gas gauge never moved and I got concerned because now I'm driving and gauge said to refuel now.
I didn't know if it would just basically think it run out of gas so I stopped and put two more gallons in and the same thing occurred. Again the same thing. The gas gauge never moved from empty and the "Refuel Now" message never went away.
When I got to where I was going, it only took about 12.2 gallons of gas, which means I had plenty. What a pisser!

Every modern Toyota I’ve owned is good for about 75 miles after the low fuel light comes on.

A 5 gallon reserve is really over the top. It's so annoying. I want to know when I'm going to run out of gas and don't want to stop every 12 Gallons to get gas on a trip. If it had to be a reserve, how about 2 gallons, not 5. It's no wonder the thing tells me I have a range of 280 miles. I can't wait for 3rd party tanks to come out, 18 is already too small.

Last time I ran the truck until the light came on, there was around 3 gallons of gas left in the tank. I think it was just a bit over and I had driven for around 10 miles once it came on.

This is in your manual. It's 2.7gal. On an 18.2gal tank, that places your low fuel light and "range = 0 mi" at the 15.5gal marker.

I sure as heck hope it's not programmed as "2x"!
(since 2.7g x 2 would be 5.4gal, and if you're triggering and topping out at 13gal... that's makes the math oddly close... to 18.2 - 2.7[reserve] - 2.7[low] = 13.8)

... oh more data points needed!
