suddenly after working fine previously my apple car play will not connect wirelessly at all. All that shows on screen for issues is this photo I added. Tried forgetting device on phone and truck. And I have Bluetooth on. Whenever I go to connect to car play wifi automatically turns off.

I don't know about car play but my AA is very finicky. Sometimes it connects, other times, no. And with Android, there's really no user friendly app on the phone. Yes, the app is there, but you can't really open it up and command it to connect to the truck. I have to wait till an icon appears on the truck display and then click on it. If the icon doesn't show up, there's really nothing I can do. Almost much easier to just use the nav app directly from the phone and mount it near the dash.

That’s what mine does as well.. but in 2 months I’ve only had the problem one.. Obviously yours is more problematic? Did you shut down your IPhone? Sometimes it fixes a multitude of problems?

I’ve reset my phone and will update when I try again. Not to worried as I know the new vehicle will have its bugs. If it keeps going I will contact the dealership

Issue fixed. Resetting your network settings on iPhone seems to fix the issue for now

It's very finicky for me as well, even with wifi and bluetooth on sometimes it won't connect. What I do to fix it is I got into settings in the media console, select devices, and then select my phone (it'll say "passive"), then the option for use for android auto will be deselected for some reason, so I enable it. Once i enable it android auto connects

I would in the future have your phone and vehicle both forget each other and reestablish your connection ground up.

You cannot have the truck WiFi on at the same time using CarPlay - I don’t know why but I know you can’t use both simultaneously.
