‘E’ Rated Tire Pressures

I’ve put ‘E’ rated (Firestone Destination XT) tires on my OR Hybrid. Anyone have experience with the correct air pressure to run them at? Door sticker says 30lbs, but would be to low for this ‘heavier duty’ tire. (So I was told) This would be for everyday driving on streets/highways. THX!

My F150 has E rated tires and I ran them at 35 psi for 120k miles... first set of tires lasted 100k miles. Second set is currently at 20k miles. I would air them up before towing or maxing out the payload capacity of the bed. The more air pressure, the higher the load capacity. My Tacoma does not have E rated tires, so I'm running my SL rated tires at 30psi.

What size are your new tires?

Good info here.. I was told to never run them (E-load) under 45psi on my Tundra, 50 was ideal.

I should clarify that lower air pressure will ride smoother, but higher air pressure will carry more load. Experiment with different pressures and see what you like.
