Sharing my Falkens in the same size. Excuse the super cheesy music.

Any comparison between these and Falken AT4W's? I'm curious if one is quieter than the other.

The Falken is almost silent except maybe between 20-40 mph where thereā€™s a slight hum but it sounds nice. My only knock on it is that itā€™s a pretty hard tire and for it to ride decently you need to be around 34 psi and not much higher (in E load). Itā€™s great in the wet and appears to be bulletproof and insanely overbuilt (you can tell). 18/32 tread depth which is segment leading and a very cool tread pattern. It also handles shockingly well on the roadā€”steering is phenomenal.

I think the KO3 sidewall is cooler. I also think the KO3 is very quiet. It might also be more comfortable, but I donā€™t know. Both tires are top performers.

I did the same thing on my TRD OR a couple days ago, except I went with 285/70-17 for the KO3ā€™s. I did a similar comparison to yours, and considered various sizes, and ended up with this selection. Iā€™ve only done 70-80 miles so far, much of it during heavy rain & wind, and Iā€™m pleased so far.

The longer Iā€™ve had the 275s (Falkens) the more I think they are the optimal size for the TH. I like that the Falkens are a hair larger than the KO3s and thus further push the size to the limit without going over the edge. That said each tire I think has pros and cons.

There is space, but not a ton. Haven't rubbed at all from what I can tell.
That probably means 285/70/17's will rub. Curious though, do you think a higher offset would help? Wondering if the OR wheel might be better equipped for larger tires

I donā€™t think I would want any more poke. The only thing you can do is take off the crash plate, then you can go to 35 no issues. I used to be a 35-or-die guy but honestly 33.2-33.5 is really plenty and is a nice compromise. They donā€™t look small and ground clearance is solid. Just my 2 cents.
