All it took was 600 mi to get the check engine light on

I had the same issue, after about 150 miles. The dealer told me the grill shutter connection was wet, implying that it was not properly connected when manufactured. He also speculated that this may be a wider problem with the way they are sealing these connections. He dried the connection, then sealed with marine sealant and the codes cleared. I have driven another couple hundred miles and so far so good.

Is your Vin and M or a T per chance, trying to see if one plant is having more of the issues than the other or if it's both of them.

65-68 is my guess, but really I have no clue.

Its kind of a mix of an OR Premium with the Limited interior upgrades, plus the off road stuff and of course its a hybrid.

That’s my guess too. I didn’t know it was a mix interior like that.
I guess the pro will be low 60s to start .

600 mi and the check engine light came on, really not pleased. I'll be going to the dealership Monday I'll give enough date as to what they tell me

[Update] My wife took the truck to Toyota at around 11:00 today they just released it at 4:30, I spoke with The mechanic that looked at it as well as the service manager, they were unable to determine what was wrong, All they ended up doing was clearing the engine codes and driving it for 30 mi to see if they would come back, I had talked with them about the information that has been shared in this form as well as another form and they found that very helpful, they said that they opened up a case number and they are waiting to hear back from Toyota corporate as to what to do next, they said as of now there's nothing they can do further, they said they will give me a call back to bring the vehicle in if Toyota issues a fix, other than that they said to contact them again if codes come back.

What does the M or T designate? My build sheet's 11th character is a T, if thats even the correct number thats on my supposed truck? My truck is on a train to my area now, I just want to keep an eye on this just in case it is plant specific.

Oh ok, yea I think mine said it was in GUANAJUATO now that I think about what the dealer said when he called to tell me.

I got mine last week. I have driven it in the rain since but nothing like your ventures. So far so good. Do you think ours got through before the hold or were part of the hold but got fixed and released early in the harness change? My door jam says 1/24 build date.

Well that sucks! Just saw that I hadn’t replied to your previous post/question. My date on door jam is the same as yours 1/24. Truck was produced in the Guanajuato plant.

Same plant probably within days of each other. Once I saw these shutter malfunction posts I almost wanted mine to break soon so I could hopefully not have that issue hanging over my head. Part of me also said I hope it at least works for a few months and see if the fix seems to be working on other Tacomas with this issue before mine breaks. I have an appointment Monday morning. I will update when I hear back from them.
