Toyota is recalling certain 2024 Tacoma 4-wheel drive trucks with 16-inch brakes and 17-inch wheels due to a brake hose issue. The recall affects vehicles in North and South America, as well as other regions.

What's the issue?

• The rear brake hoses may need to be replaced because they could be defective

What will Toyota do?

• Toyota dealers will replace the rear brake hoses at no cost to customers

How can I check if my vehicle is affected?

• You can check if your vehicle is affected by:

I guess they're showing up in waves. My message just showed up. I have the TRD Off-Road 6 Foot. I wonder if it's all 17 inch Rim trucks and if it'll affect people who go from 18 to 17inch wheels.

Yep, just got mine. Not that I ever check the app.

Both my tacos are affected. Of course, no dealers have parts, but not worried. It’s easy enough to make sure mud & dirt aren’t caked up in the rear wheels. If they are, use your hose and remove it. Easy peasy.

Snow and ice could build up and cause problems just as easily as mud.
