when you get a chance can you take closer pics of the roof rails and the gap between the back of the cab and the cap?
cool. Pictures would be great. Did you have a similar issue with the bed rail trim also?It covers out to the edge. I’ll send pictures later.
You loose the third brake light capability. However, I guess there are relocation kits. I’ve seen these, but not impressed. Definitely not cosmetically appealing.I would really like to purchase this for my Trail hunter, but I have questions about how the back up camera/ 360 camera will be affected since the camera I believe is located in the 3rd brake light. Does anyone have any information on this?
from what I’ve read elsewhere, it shouldn’t affect the 360 functionality since 360 uses the camera located in your tailgate - same camera used when you reverse. It will block the camera for your rear view mirror though. However, at least for me, I never really use the camera view on my rear view mirror. You loose the third brake light capability. It has no effect on the 360º camera system.from what I’ve read elsewhere, it shouldn’t affect the 360 functionality since 360 uses the camera located in your tailgate - same camera used when you reverse. I have this cap on my Trailhunter. You do not lose 360 degree view. And the cap has a small “portal” window so your bed lights and rear view camera are still useful. I just zoomed my rear view camera in on the back window of the cap and I get a decent image.from what I’ve read elsewhere, it shouldn’t affect the 360 functionality since 360 uses the camera located in your tailgate - same camera used when you reverse.
