I am going to get a Smartcap eventually, has anyone had to do anything to the suspension with the extra weight added? Also, I plan on putting in a decked system too, so there will be more weight with that too.

The Smartcap Evo Adventure only weighs around 200 lbs., on it's own it's definitely not any different than having a second adult in the truck.I am going to get a Smartcap eventually, has anyone had to do anything to the suspension with the extra weight added? Smart Cap's have a window so the bed camera and rear cab light both see into the canopy. My question for any cap is whether there is a way to move the rear view camera to the back of the camper. Has anyone experimented with that?
I'm sorry. I meant the digital rear view mirror. You'd have to move that camera to the back side of the camper.Smart Cap's have a window so the bed camera and rear cab light both see into the canopy.
It works okay with the Smartcap. So almost like a Cybertruck since they can't use their rearview mirrors
Hmm, so that's basically what you'd see anyways if you were not using the digital rear view. Seems like it's still better visibility than using the regular mirror. Seems good enough for sure.It works okay with the Smartcap.
That is the digital mirror. The camera is looking through the front window of the Smartcap.that's basically what you'd see anyways if you were not using the digital rear view.
Right. That's what I was saying. It basically looks like what you'd see (minus the window frames) if you didn't have the digital mirror. Maybe I wasn't clear (my bad), but what I was saying is that I think the digital mirror works good enough with the smartcap so you'd probably not even need to relocate it as some people have suggested. That is the digital mirror. I agree.so you'd probably not even need to relocate it as some people have suggested.
This isn't specific to the SmartCap, but there is some info on repositioning the rearview camera to the back of the topper on the 2nd page of this ARE thread -My question for any cap is whether there is a way to move the rear view camera to the back of the camper. Has anyone experimented with that?
Great looking install. I just got mine put on today. I have a couple of questions. Do you have any issue with the seal at the bottom of the rear hatch catching on the tailgate lip when you open the hatch up? Mine rubs pretty hard when I open or close it. In time, I'm concerned it will wear itself out.
