I'm looking at the PreRunner, waiting for the 2025 to see what colors they are going to offer. Also into MTB currently riding a KONA. I'd like to see a stick shift too but I don't think that will happen. I'm just glad they brought back the PreRunner. Looking for other colors than the white, gray, and black. Also thinking of adding the ARB bed sports bar, no roof rack.
Transition Spur, I'm using a 1up rack on my Bronco right now, works well. Prerunner maybe in 2028 or so, give the Bronco a few years and some more miles probably.

I'm using a 1Up also. A bolt came off after a year. They just sent me new parts to fix it - no charge.

What's the seat install/remove process like? I was thinking about doing the seat delete but I do have people visit once a month and might have to have someone back there.
Maybe a 40 delete is better. Initial install takes some time but once you learn it it’s super easy. Only takes ~10 minutes to remove the Goose Gear platform and ~10min to bolt the seats back in. 4 bolts in total/ ~4 pop pin trim clips. I plan on swapping 1-2x a year. Definitely keep the bolt threads in good shape w/anti-sieze

I've looked at all the mid-size options and they are all lacking in something. The Tacoma lacks memory seats which is a deal breaker. Everything else I could deal with, but I don't expect them to add it despite pretty much every other manufacture having them in their top trims. Meanwhile GMC/Chevy lacks lane centering, the Ranger lacks ventilated seats, the Ridgeline needs a redesign DESPRATELY, and the Frontier is just a joke all around.

Unfortunately I've all but decided to get a few year old full size. I don't want a vehicle that big, but it is the only way I can get all the interior features I want. Fortunately the prices on even a 1-2 year old F-150 are pretty dang good. Not that hard to get 25-30K less than sticker for the top trims. It should hold me over for a few years while I wait for better mid-size options.

..... Also forgot to mention that no rear vents is also a deal breaker. It would effectively mean I could not drive my kids around in the long and hot Oklahoma summers.
Well, there are rear vents, but they are under the front seats. I agree it would be nice to have center consol directional vents.

Is anyone else frustrated that we still don’t have official info on the 2025 Tacoma? It’s already October 2024, and Toyota has been pretty consistent over the years, dropping pricing and updates for new Tacomas in August or July for the past 5 years before announcing the 4th gen.
  • 2023 Toyota Tacoma: Pricing and updates were revealed in August 2022.
  • 2022 Toyota Tacoma: Pricing and new model details were announced in August 2021.
  • 2021 Toyota Tacoma: The information was released in August 2020.
  • 2020 Toyota Tacoma: Announcements were made in August 2019.
  • 2019 Toyota Tacoma: Pricing and updates were unveiled in August 2018.
  • 2018 Toyota Tacoma: Information was announced in July 2017.
Toyota must really be struggling with the 4th gens......
Gota have something to with transmission issues

Here we are in mid November, and still not a peep about the 2025 model Tacomas. Maybe it’s because they are sitting on a lot of ‘24s?

There are over a 100 at my local dealer, yet still no discounts.

Well my guess for 2025,s is weshould be inside of few weeks to hear alittle more then we know , yes allocations have been talked about in AZ, colors for the pro are known….now the rest of the trucks we are waiting for , my local dealers are kind of mum.
With the large amounts of SR-5,S Sitting im sure big savings are to be had on those, just being restless i suppose , lol

:handshake: New to the forum, and soon-to-be new to the Tacoma! Just finalized my order for a 2025 TRD Sport Premium 6ft bed, WCP!! Been a loooong time Tundra owner (2008)...it's been hands down the best vehicle I've had the pleasure of owning, ever! Legend-status reliability, well made and sturdy...never any issues with it at all. But with the (ongoing) engine failure fiasco in the 2022+ Tundra's...I just cannot comfortably accept the new generation. New Taco arrives early January. Hope it's good!

@MustardTiger Congrats - I predict that you will love your truck which IMO is a very nice spec. My 2nd gen Tacoma was a Sport and I loved that truck.

I recently came out of a 2011 Tundra and it was rock solid, well made and built to work. My 5.7L had a drinking problem but I never cared because it was such a glorious engine. I saw a list of Toyota's best V8 engines and it was third on the list with a special mention for its legendary reliability.

I didn't realized that the engine failure thing in the new Tundras was ongoing. I thought (hoped) that it would be wrapped up by the massive engine replacement campaign that Toyota is doing.

@TacoFreak Thanks! I'm looking forward to it. Wish there was more and better paint selections...and honestly packaging options too. Optimal build (for me) would be hybrid drivetrain + 6ft bed + TRD Sport premium + better metallic paint options + individual tack-on options like the HUD, etc. As for the 3.4TT engine...I've been following along on other forums, and there are posts of 2024's being loaded up on flat beds with a seized engine. Dealers are in denial that the Max hybrid versions aren't suffering the engine failure, but they are. And the MAX isn't currently part of the recall. Personally I think the machining debris story is a cover...for what is in reality a design flaw with the engine.

@timetoeatpotatoes from what I know for 2025, expect a $1000-1500 price increase across the board (2025 Tundra was $3500 across the model range); solar octane is gone and being replaced by Terra; dampened tailgate standard on SR5; "Drive Connect" moves from 1 year trial to 3 year on higher trims. Otherwise nothing major. Keep in mind that I'm in Canada...and our packaging options for the Tacoma are much more limited
