I just purchased a TRD skid plate for my 2024 TRD sport. The front two bolt holes on the skid plate do not have anywhere to mount to on the car. Instructions that came with the plate says that 6 bolts hold it up which I only could find 4. Does anyone know if there is a crossmember that the sports dont have that the skid plate mounts to? The skid plate hangs down lower than I would like on the front and theres only 4 bolts holding it on.

I believe reading that the Offroads (OR,Pro,TH) have another frame crossmember for this purpose plus strengthening the frame,
Thank you for this input. I guess the next thing would be is to go to a dealership and peak under an off road or Pro to see if there’s a crossmember that I don’t have or if someone on the forum here can send me a picture of the bottom of there off road to see if this is something that I can order and bolt on or if it’s a bar that is permanently welded (built into the frame).

I ran into the same problem with my Limited. I have not found a solution yet, but I'm not sure I need one. The 4 bolts hold just fine.

What’s the part # on these? What’s the dealer cost?

Edit found the p/n of PTR60-35240

Who has the best price on these. I’m seeing $416 from local dealer.

I would not be dealing with this if the original protection wasn’t cardboard. I bash on my vehicles living on a ranch.

Do you have rock gardens and moguls on your ranch or what.
More like creek beds and ravines. Anyways… ya I want to protect my truck. If you have an off road or TRD pro let me know if that crossmember is welded on. Thanks

Google the PN and you should get several hits on pricing.

Curious if anyone has installed another manufactures skid plate on the sport model? How did it fit?

I have an Off Road, but I can't look at it because it's been broke sitting at the dealership for close to 3 weeks.
I’m sorry to hear that. What is broken on it? Anything other 4th gen owners should be worried about?
