I use Kirkland (Costco) 0W-20. Walmart Supertech is the same. Both are comparable to Mobil 1.

I always get amsoil. Theres tons of interesting torture tests and spec verifications of all oil brands and types on youtube. Amsoil almost always come out as the winner. Its usually Amsoil and Pennsoil that come out on top.

Its not hard to get, so why not.

I do know one thing ive noticed with their severe gear oil line. When i started using it in my diffs a long while ago, on all my vehicles, the amount of powdered metal particles on the drain plug magnets dropped to almost nothing. That to me was a very good indicator of its protection.
Its not engine oil related to your question, but they do seem to make a significantly higher quality oil.

Whatever is on sale at Canadian Tire.
Advice - The Kirkland 0W20 motor oil will always be cheaper than whatever is on sale at Crappy Tire. And 2-3 times a year the Kirkland oil goes on sale, at under $25 for two 5 litre jugs. The certifications on the Kirkland brand oil are well respected (Dexos certification).

That is good advice, I’ll keep an eye out for that.

I do like and would always recommend Amsoil, however I decided to change things around a bit since I feel Amsoil is expensive. I've been using the Costo Kirkland 0-20w oil which comes in two 5 quart bottles for about 38 bucks or there abouts. I feel it is a damn good oil for the $. I do use OEM Filter (90915-YZZN1).

Honestly, I think any good name brand oil that meets the spec's for the vehicle would be just fine. Just owners preference, of course. I'd recommend changing early and often to flush out manufacturing detritus. I threw up a few other posts which show some pics, etc.
