At least the premium package ads the 2400w inverter. For some reason,I thought those would only be available on the hybrid engines.

Phew, I hope Canadian pricing and configuration don't reflect that crap. Over 70k for a TRD Sport manual, had to select premium package because I unfortunately know my TRD Sport is arriving with leather seats, which seems to be only available on the premium.

I will not pay $70k for a mid sized, mid trim truck. That's costly enough to be a TRD Pro. No thank you, give it to the next guy.

Not to mention the vast amount of package options. Do we really need 20 different premium upgrades? Maybe if they had custom ordering but this is just a nightmare.

I really do hope Toyota keeps up to tabs with these forum sites and the feedback, get real Toyota.
TRD sport premium 6’ bed is around $61k Canadian. TRD sport with the manual is $56k.

Good find. It confirms that the moonroof makes you loose 1.7in of headroom and that it is included standard in the TH/TRD Pro. A shame that they force you to buy that for us tall people.
Also has over an inch less of legroom than the 2023 :/

Also a shame that the TH comes standard with the useless bed rack from the reveal. Most people on the forum who were interested in the TH were hopping not to be force to pay for that rack.

I wished they included curb weight, GVWR and payloads at least for the available trims because that is one last key element missing for some people.
Oh Toyota and their archaic package system. I never use a sunroof and don’t want to lose headroom in a midsize truck but would love the premium jbl and trailer brake controller. Unfortunately, to get the latter you have to get a sunroof. (Canada of course gets screwed with their options compared to the States).

No Solar Octane in TRD Sport. I would have definitely thought that was there! Disappointed.

@TacoTanium ..I know some gave you a hard time comparing the Tacoma to a Maverick but I seriously think there is alot of truth in what you are saying. I'd be interested to see data on what percentage of Tacoma owners actually use their truck for more intense off roading or for the heavier towing. I'd gamble that the vast majority of anyone believing they need a Tacoma would be served just fine with maverick. If you just like and want the Tacoma then cool that's fine but perhaps the more financially sound decision isn't as popular but some people don't like to hear that.

Anyways, I've been waiting for official pricing every since the new Tacoma was announced and I'm very disappointed. I almost went to put a deposit down last weekend with a Toyota dealer and I'm so glad I didn't. I'll keep driving my 18 year old Silverado, runs just fine. I'll let all the kids go buy the latest at MSRP+ market adjustments/dealer mark-ups. I think the move is too wait another year like someone else said.

It's there, just add the premium package and it should show. Site is still a work in progress. :)

The prices are high, but that is the market. Toyota will sell every one of those they can make. To be fair, you can get an SR5 which is probably better equipped than a 5 year old Tacoma for a decent price. The public demands more and more features and gets shocked when prices get super high. Are they making a good profit? Of Course. That's why companies exist. They don't owe anyone an affordable Tacoma, though there are some. As Trucks stop being work trucks and start being luxury status vehicles, the companies will oblige. Look at the prices on Full Sized Trucks. The same exact F150 that I bought in 2021 for 49K now sells for almost 70K. People pay and they sell.

Could you share where you confirmed that the non hybrid gets the 24oo watt inverter please ?

In the configurator, on the packages tab, scroll all the way to right and select one of the premium packages, then click on the details link, it says it has a 2400w inverter. At least it did on the Sport, assuming it's the same on all trims.

Not really. Nobody complains that the Ranger and Colorado went up a decent amount to get more features in return.

The public is shocked because a competing ZR2 with equivalent tech and features will be 12-15K less than a TRD Pro.
That kind of price difference in the same segment is unheard off. A 2022 TRD Pro didn’t have such a drastic difference VS a 2022 ZR2. Granted it might have been a few grand and you could justify that with the old gen Tacoma reliability. Now not only the new gen is unproven reliability wise (look at all the new tundra issues), but the price gap enlarged dramatically.

The price for all new trucks went up that’s true. But only Toyota went up as crazy as that.

And this sir, is why the public is shocked.

I'd like you to be correct although, it simply states ac power inverter which I presumed 400 watts. It doesn't specify so I assumed if it were 2400 then they would have been more specific. That option I thought only worked with incorporating the hybrid battery pack and corresponding generator/alternator.

I don't know... First of all, you can easily get the GM Twins into the 60K range with options, and the material quality, etc.. are not the best. Not to mention, the 23 is a brand new, unproven engine that is a 2.7l 4cylinder tuned out to the max (So much so that GM extends to warranty to 100K because people were nervous). A Ranger Lariat comes in at right around the same price (and specs) as a Tacoma Limited. To be fair, we don't know where the TH or TRDPro is going to start price wise. I'm sure you'll be able to option them out to some pretty high numbers. Now, if dealers would stop adding ADM, etc... to these vehicles we'd be in a better place.
