Only thing I've done is disable the seat belt chime, adjust how long the turn signal stays on and turn off the fake engine noise.
I would like to have the brake activate automatically so I don't need to hit the button each time I start the truck but don't think you can.

What have you guys done?

That's about it for me, but I did turn on the feature that allows me to roll down all the windows from the fob.

Similar for me, my biggest want was to turn off the nasty seatbelt chime. I loved how I had to agree that I was putting my life in danger by doing that.

I set my truck to apply the parking brake when I put it in park and release it when exiting park, but that was through the truck's settings menu.

I haven't gotten it yet but this is the setting that I really want to change:

Locking: Smart Key
Touch-to-unlock-doors minimum duration
Off / Short / Medium / Long

I hate the sometimes delay when I tap the lock on the door handle. Although, reading this again, I wonder if the setting changes how long I have to hold the door handle before the doors lock/unlock, rather than that delay after I tap and before I hear the doors lock.

Turning off the fake engine noise sounds interesting too.

Does it matter whether I get the Carista OBD or the EVO? It doesn't look like it matters for Toyotas.

I was looking at changing the unlock feature too, but from what I can tell you can only change the duration from locking it to unlocking it. Not the 2 seconds holding your hand to unlock all doors. Unless I'm misreading the functionality.

I did the things listed above and also turned on the feature that opens all my windows if I hold unlock on my fob. I got an email saying they had more features available, so I'm going to check it out again.

This functionality works like this- once you unlock your truck with whatever method- it will automatically relock the truck if you don't open a door. That delay before it relocks is what this setting is about.

I am intrigued about Carista... and, I would like to purchase it... However... I am turned off about having to "subscribe" to their service just to use it! If I only subscribe for the first month, make my changes, and then "unsubscribe", do the changes vanish? And, what if the company goes out of business one day, or, simply stops supporting it?

No, you don't lose your changes. It's $10 for a month. You can make your changes and then cancel it and they stay.

You just spent at least 35k on a truck, can't spend $10 to turn off the stupid seatbelt alarm?

Be nice now! Besides, I spent considerably more than 35k on my truck!

A nice truck, though expensive, will still be around and functional after paid off. However, IF a $30 - $80 device, plus a one month payment of $10 is not money well spent if its functionality disappears. I'd prefer to not randomly throw money in someone's pocket if I can avoid it!

I've used my Carista on 3 different Toyotas (and my Buddy was stoked to borrow it to make changes on his as well). Worth every penny for just turning off the Seat Belt warning and the fake engine enhancement. To each his own.

Well, I'd like to get rid of the chimes, but what change do you notice by turning off the engine sound? Does music sound a lot better?
