Any chance they have you the spec difference or what matches to which trim level? Wide/narrow honestly means nothing - too subjective. 17 vs 18 or less than 30 offset more then 30 offset... Those are objective characteristics that can help determine "correct match".

Such as if the "wider" one on an 18" stock offset of 55 pokes out, or stops clean.
I don't have specifics regarding increased poke or wider than stock tires or wheels with different offsets. I think the narrower flaps would only work for trucks with relatively narrow tires from the factory. I attached two pictures comparing US stock versus the Canadian flaps on my Pro. Anything much wider than the Pro/TH OEM fitment would probably need a aftermarket flap IMO.

It’s more about the fender flare that you have on the side of your truck. So the TRD Pro and Trail Hunter would be the ones for the larger flaps and SR5 and any of the other trucks that don’t have that added flare on the side would take the other version. The different widths actually correspond to the fender flare width.

I agree @saerandy.

If you change out the wheels and tires on your truck beyond what comes from the factory I don't think even the wider flares would be enough. They barely cover the OEM tread on my truck. There are good aftermarket choices out there to consider for trucks with even more poke.

I was wondering whether this would be a good reference marker as well (at least from OEM setups). That PRO and TH need the "wider" set and all others need the "normal" set. I don't know the spec on the PRO wheel stock, but I know the 18" Limited offset is 55, the 18" TRD matte black wheel is 45, and the TH 18" wheel is 20.

Sounds like unless someone is in the PRO or TH stock category or has moved their setup to be near there, the larger set may be too large and create flap/catch on the outside of the wheel.

I have a TRD Sport with Method 703's +35 with 285 70 17 Falkens. I went to the dealership yesterday to checkout the PK389-35R00-P1 flaps they had in stock. They almost covered the tread on the front but from what I have read, PK389-35R50-P1 are wider. I ordered the PK389-35R50-P1 from the dealer for 112 and change, as soon as they come in I will install them post a pic of the coverage. Supposed to be here in a few days.

Looks like you're running the Matte Black TRD wheels 18x8, 45mm offset. Is that correct? As that'll be the match for my expectations.
18x8.5 with 20 mm offset according to specs on ordering page.

Wonder what your part number is then. As that's two wheels with very similar appearance but different offsets. The specs you quote are what I know for the TH styled wheel.

Part PTR56-35242-F1 is TRD WHEEL: Flat Black = 18x8, 6x139.7, 45mm offset, 95.1mm bore. These are the wheels I have, so I know the spec is correct.

I have the TRD Pro wheels with 265/70R18 tires. PT946-35240-2F.

If you do ANY kind of dirt road /off roading these flaps are garbage.
I realize the "Canadian" flaps are wider but the issue with all of the factory flaps is the gap between the bottom of the front flare and the top of the flap. I would seriously go aftermarket for way better coverage vs factory for the same money.
Trust me I'm Canadian!!! lol

I picked up the OEM larger mud flaps today PK389-35R50-p1. While at the dealership, i grabbed the US flap for comparison. PK389-35R00-p1. This pic shows the difference in width. I have +35 Methods and the US flaps missed covering the tread by about an inch. The PK389-35R50-p1 make up that difference.

I put these on my TRD-Offroad, fit great and im happy with them, i still have the factory tires, Falking,wildpeaks…18’ 265,S. Guess im old school, ill run these for 10,000 miles then replace with some beefier tires, and i do want a wee-bit of poke, i guess im the odd ball lol.

I just ordered my PK389-35R50-P1 from this site for $112 delivered. Great Toyota parts site and have used them several times in the past.

https://www.cheapestfactoryparts.com/

Thanks to rijc99 for bring us all this good information with great photos!! Also others with the comparisons and such.

You cost me more money but I had a set from Amazon, so didn't have too much in them and for sure like these better.
