@ramble22 yes that's right. The 4G Tacoma Limited can use both the 10p and 5p harnesses included in the Dongar box. I would suggest using one of them for the dashcam and then repurposing the other to splice in your radar. This will give you more overhead to the fuse rating because they are on different fuses.
Understood, thank you!

MSRP is gonna be $64.99 but we're doing a huge launch deal + and big specials on dashcam+adapter combos and SD cards. We have an email sign-up list on our front page https://dongar.tech/ where we'll blast out an email for the launch pricing and preorders in the next 10 days. Ship date is expected second week of November.
Dang, I bought the regular adapter a couple months ago to install my Garmin mini 2. Wish I knew this upgraded adapter was in the pipeline. Oh well. My current adapter works flawlessly so that's positive! Maybe someday I'll create a need for this new adapter šŸ˜

@Jakedawgy if you're feeling spendy over the holidays it doesn't hurt to upgrade dashcams to something with front + rear + interior! I'm about to stock some N2X and N4pro Vantrues in the next week or two... feel free to reach out!

Just installed the pro with my 4th gen trd sport with the 5pin plug and play. Set it to timed as Iā€™m a bit scared to leave it in continuous mode. I havenā€™t tested how long it runs when truck is off and not running. Battery seems normal according to gauge on dash/screen.

@Suzay Thanks for the order! I've had no issues with the continuous mode but I do drive more than average -13.5k mi since getting the 4G taco in April. The low voltage cut-out will save you either way :)

Do these have display speed? I do not want my dash cam to display my speed on the video. Can it be turned off?

@Lando I haven't checked every Vantrue model but the older ones certainly let you disable the speed timestamp in the menus:

Has anyone from Canada ordered this yet? I just went to checkout and they want $124 for shipping! even with the discount it brings the adapter to $71.71 but with that shipping I'm looking at $195.71 Brutal! @Dongar any chance you can ship me one with USPS not DHL? would love to get one for my new Taco but not at that price.

What camera system do you recommend that allows you to do a live view from your phone while the vehicle is parked and works with the Dongar Pro.

Is that via Amazon? Our site uses Passport shipping and they (are supposed to) calculate the best rate plus tariffs. Iā€™ve never seen a shipping price that high!

So you need a dashcam with cellular connections and tbh they all have a lot of downsidesā€¦ especially subscription costs. Garmin has a plan with their Dashcam Live but doesnā€™t have rear and inside recording and is a bad value overall for the price ($400) Vantrue has a cellular module but you gotta figure out the SIM card situation on your own and the module is separate from the dashcam. Nexar One looks good for the price, has interior recording, and is about $10/mo, but I havenā€™t personally tried it. Id be inclined to go with the Nexar.

Sorry, one more question. The nexar uses a OBD connection. Does using your Dongar adapter bypass the OBD connection where I would just have to connect the USB-c from the dash cam to your device?
