Do you intend on driving over rocks? If yes, then yes, if no, then no. At least you bought an Off Road that the skid plate was made to fit.
90% of the time, no. I do in my job sometimes get on gravel logging roads or dirt roads that can have hidden rocks, dips & washouts. Also some places I like to go for re/re can have washouts or road construction a lot.

I just like the look of this one better.
Do you know the weight of this skid plate? I'm thinking about swapping to 5052 aluminum on most of my Trailhunter underside protection for several years. Looking to save some weight, possibly remove some plates entirely during the winter...

If I had to guess I’d say 15 to 20 lbs.

Can you post a couple pics of your taco from a little bit farther away? I'm curious of the overall aesthetic with the skid plate on there. It looks great underneath!

Yep. Off Road comes with plastic skid plates. I have the off road premium.
Plastic skid plates? Does anyone have a pic and part number? That's what I'm interested in for my Sport. I don't do off-roading and want something better than the plastic/felt thing that's on there now.

From another site:
51410-AK020 (Believe this is the front skid)
51420-AK021 (Second Skid)
90119-A0549 (4 bolts for the additional skid plate)
He says he got them through a dealer for $200
MSRP price is about $300

Maybe some nice manufacturer out there will create an inexpensive cover assembly for people who just want to keep small rocks and road salt slush from hitting their engines:)

Can someone who has them post a few pictures of the plastic OEM skid plates in place?

I'm curious what these suckers actually look like (no idea what the Limited Hybrid will have from factory until it arrives)

I just installed a TRD Pro skid plate on my Sport utilizing the RCI cross member. I had to buy 2 extra bolts as the sport only comes with 4 for the OEM felt guard.

Worked out really well. I’d say start to finish took me about an hour. Now that the crossmember is in to take it off and put it back on would probably take 15 min.

I would second the comment about it weighing about 20 lbs or so. I used my floor jack to maneuver it around and hold it in place while I bolted it up. Lined up perfectly with the RCI cross member.

Should be way better than the felt cover that was behind the air dam.
